Making a difference to the lives of young people!

When problems arise, for example, exam stress, course work, family problems, relationships, school / college pressures or health concerns, it may not always be easy to talk about them with parents, teachers or even best friends. If that happens a Mentor might be the ideal person to turn to.

The Mentoring Scheme aims to give you the opportunity to share your problems and concerns with someone who is not connected to you through school or family. Your Mentor is able to suggest ways of dealing with your worries as well as supporting you to find the right direction.

How does mentoring work?

If you feel this kind of support could help you, we would arrange for you to meet with a Mentor on a regular basis usually weekly. Each Session would last up to an hour and you can have as many as you need. Some people might feel better after only 3 or 4 sessions with their Mentor, whilst others may need many more. It doesn't matter, there is no limit.

What is important is that you get a chance to discuss your concerns without being judged.
